Prayer 013

Lord thank you for being my father and my guide. Thank you for loving me even when my actions did not merit your love or forgiveness, but you lord are a forgiving Father who continues to look beyond my faults. I thank you for in every situation you are there, in the test you are there, in the trial you are there, in sorrow and pain you are there, and in joy and happiness again Lord, you are there. Father you said you’d never leave or forsake your children and you continue to be true to your word.

Father I ask that the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, for you lord are my strength and redeemer. You father are my strong tower, burden bearer and joy maker. You lord are my all and all and reason that I live, move and breath. Nothing or no one compares to you Lord. You are awesome and amazing.

Father I ask that you open the eyes of those who don’t know you. Bring them to your eternal salvation and give them a clear understanding of who you are and how much you love them.

Father I ask that your will and way rein in your people and churches. Lord fill our hearts and minds with the desire to live our day to day lives pleasing you.
Father teach us how to love the way you do. Lord fill us with your love and let that love spill on all we come in contact with. Let your light so shine in us that you and your name will continue to be glorified. Open our eyes to the areas within us that are not pleasing to you and put a strong desire in our hearts to change. Lord I ask that you be with the sick, shut-in, lonely and bereaved. Father provide comfort and support as only you can and open our eyes and hearts to those you have place before us to provide comfort and support to.

In Jesus name I pray …Amen

Test

The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God. Psalm 14:2

The ‘cares of this world,’ are heighten when one not only has to worry about food, clothing, and shelter but, how to provide these essentials for their family. The failing economy and continuous threat of job loss is a reality many are forced to face. Sometimes without realizing it we allow these worries to weigh us down and become the constant focus of ones life. Feebly taking on the responsibility of trying figuring things out, solving the problem, or coming up with a solution robs us of our peace. In fact peace seems to be a thing of the past as we search for ideas of how to change our present situation.

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John14:27

How is it we so easily put God in a box to be taken out as needed? Have we really forgotten who he is, and who we have on our side? As the world continues to look at the pictures placed in view. We, the children of God have a painting the world can’t see. We have an image they can’t imagine and, an outcome they’ll never understand. For many the struggles are the test the father wants us to succeed in. For many what’s going on around us seems to be the problem, but in God’s eye what’s going around us is the process, test, or position he wants us in to take us to the place he wants us to be. Are you ready to go there?

And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee. Psalm 9:10

Prayer 012

Lord I thank you for this day. I thank you for my life and for the safety and security of my loved ones near and far. Lord I thank you for loving me far more than I could have ever imagined. I thank you for your constance presence, protection, and provision. I open my heart to you asking you to mold it as you please. Open my eyes to see all you’d have me to see and ears to hear your faintest command.

Let my desires, steps, and actions be in line with what you’d have me to do. Teach me how to be as humble and loving as you are. Forgive me for times when I’ve reacted in a selfish way and allowed pride to enter my thoughts. Let your light so shine in me that the works I do may glorify you. You lord are a good God full of love and compassion. Full of grace and mercy and an ever present help. Lord you are all things to all people yet, you rein as father of us all.

I ask that you wrap your loving arms around those in need of a special touch from you. You know all and can do all Father so I know you will provide the comfort, support and the lifting that may be needed. Father I ask that you wrap you arms around the children, put a desire for you in their hearts. Protect them as they go about there day to day activities. Give them godly and positive friends and role models. Be that ever present voice that leads them on the path they should take. Give them the ability to disern good from evil and ability to choose what is pleasing in your eyes.
In Jesus name I pray.. Amen

Timing

For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believed in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life (John 3:16).

When I was a child very little scared me. I suppose in my teenage years I walked around believing bad thinks happened to other people. Not because I was so special but young minds often think foolish things. I often looked at my parents as old, old fashion and out of touch with what was happening and cool in my day.
So when I‘d go to church and hear the preacher speak on having eternal life, I kind of thought he was talking to the older people. Most of them had lived there lives. They needed to settle down. I on the other hand felt I had time. I wasn’t ready to give my life to God. I was still young and had a lot of living to do (sinning to do).
I believe it’s that ‘time’ we believe we have that often causes us to fall flat on our backs before receiving Christ. God is a gentleman who doesn’t push or force us to receive what He has to offer.
As I reflect on the past year and funerals I’ve attended for individuals under the age of twenty-five it really sheds light to the saying, ‘time waits for no man.’ If you haven’t found salvation in Him, I pray that in this year a desire for Him and his saving grace be your goal. His love is so awesome and amazing.
It’s not until He becomes your personal savior that you realize you weren’t living at all.
