In you Lord do I put my trust. Because of you and the sacrifice you made for me on the cross I know eternal life and victory is mine. Thank you Lord for loving me beyond the deepest of imagination. Thank you Lord for the undeserving gift you’ve graciously provided for and give me. Thank you Lord for being our example and role model. Thank you Lord for the air I breathe, food I eat, clothes I wear, steps I take, and a reasonable portion of health, strength and mental clarity. You Father are so amazing and awesome that words can’t fully express my gratitude for the love you easily provide.
Teach me how to be the person you’d like me to be. Open my eyes to the era of my ways and give me the wisdom to change any portion of me that is not pleasing to you. Let the love of Christ so shine in me that others are drawn to you.
Father let us not just live a life of compassion and giving because of the season but let us live it every day of our lives as you do. Wrap your loving arms around those who are lonely and have no one to spend the holidays with. Put the perfect labors in there path. Lord be the awesome comforter you are to those who are reminded in sorrow of love ones who have left this earth and also be the mender of broken relationships. Thank you Father for all you’ve done and for the things you continue to do in the life of your beloved children. Father I just can’t thank you enough for all you’ve done for me. In Jesus name I pray….Amen

All praises be to You my God, and my Father. Thank you for the life you have given me. Thank you for loving me and thank you for being my strength in times of weakness, and companion in times of loneliness. Thank you for being ever true to your word and for the comfort and peace your word provides.
Help me to be the individual you’d have me to be. Teach me how to live my life in a manner that is pleasing to you. Fill me with all wisdom and knowledge that comes from you. Perfect me in your sight. My life father is in your hands, make and mold me as you will.
Father wrap your loving arms around sick and shut-in. Provide them with the comfort, encouragement, healing, and strength they need to make it through each day. Lord open the ears and eyes of those who don’t know you. Bring them unto your salvation. Lord wrap your loving arms around the children of this world. Be that small still voice that leads and guides them through out the day. Father put a desire for you in their heart and in the hearts and minds of those in charge of them. Help us to be the godly parents you’d have us to be. Help us to set positive examples and be the role model you’d like us to be. Father I know that all it takes from you is a touch, a whisper, a feeling and or a thought. Lord I know that it’s your desire that none perish. It’s your desire that we love one another. It’s your desire for us to live a life holy and acceptable to you. Teach us how to do this father. Teach us how to live our daily lives obedient to you and your word.
In Jesus name I pray..Amen

James 1:2-4 (New International Version)
2Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. 4Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
Often time’s trials and despair can hinder our sight. Leading one to believe there’s no light at the end of the tunnel. Experience has taught me that with God there is always ‘light’ and through that tunnel may have been dark, dreary, and lonely for the true believer there’s always a lesson and/or progression in us through him. There was a time in my life when that was hard for me to understand. I thought being a Christian exonerated me from the sheer pain and heartache I’ve had to endure. As he open his word to me I not only learned trials must come but in every situation and circumstance he his truly there to provide the way out. That way out doesn’t always come when we want or expect it, but he always provides. During the difficult times in my life his expression of sheer love for me had never been so powerful. In times when all I had was his word in my heart wrapped with the belief and faith in him to provide and walk me through I realized that was all I needed.
When things in your life seem to be out of control and you don’t know where to turn, turn to the father.
1 Peter 1:5-7 (New King James Version)
5 who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
6 In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, 7 that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ,

Isaiah 1:18-20 (New King James Version)
18 “ Come now, and let us reason together,”
Says the LORD,
“ Though your sins are like scarlet,
They shall be as white as snow;
Though they are red like crimson,
They shall be as wool.
19 If you are willing and obedient,
You shall eat the good of the land;
20 But if you refuse and rebel,
You shall be devoured by the sword”;
For the mouth of the LORD has spoken.
God is speaking but are we listening? The bible says many are called but few are chosen. As followers of the one true and living God we must begin to ask ourselves the hard questions. Many seem to be looking at and paying more attention to the negatives that are going on in the nation than the Creator. Isn’t it time we examine ourselves and begin to look within to answer the hard questions?
Are we living the righteous life he speaks of? Or do we walk the common steps of those who don’t believe? Have we played a part in what appears to be the down fall of this country? Do we love in spite of? Give in spite of? And show compassion regardless of the situation or circumstance? Are our deeds honest and just?
If we the children of God hang our heads and choose to believe the lies of the enemy faith and trust is not in us. Are we obedient to the lord and seeking his face? Have we opened our hearts to him? Sisters and brothers, God is speaking, but can we say we’re actively and honestly listening and obeying.
Deuteronomy 32:4
He is the Rock, His work is perfect; For all His ways are justice, A God of truth and without injustice; Righteous and upright is He.
Psalm 25:5
Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; On You I wait all the day.

Father you are my hope and my strength. I thank you for my life. I thank you for the endless love and compassion you have for me. I thank you for your presence in every situation and circumstance. I thank you for being the father you are. There is none like you Lord, none that can compare, none that can love, provide, protect, guide, teach, and forgive the way you do. You Lord are unique, merciful and my father. Teach us to love and show kindness and compassion the way you do. Teach us how to be honest, true and, giving and forgiving to one another as your are to us. Open our eyes to the areas within us that are not pleasing to you and give us the wisdom and guidance needed to change. I thank you for constantly looking beyond our faults and meeting every need. I thank you for being the alpha and omega of my life. Thank you lord for you are the only one we can safely put our trust in.
In Jesus name I pray.
2 Samuel 22:31
As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him.
Psalm 18:2
The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower
Psalm 37:5
Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God. Psalm 14:2
The ‘cares of this world,’ are heighten when one not only has to worry about food, clothing, and shelter but, how to provide these essentials for their family. The failing economy and continuous threat of job loss is a reality many are forced to face. Sometimes without realizing it we allow these worries to weigh us down and become the constant focus of ones life. Feebly taking on the responsibility of trying figuring things out, solving the problem, or coming up with a solution robs us of our peace. In fact peace seems to be a thing of the past as we search for ideas of how to change our present situation.
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John14:27
How is it we so easily put God in a box to be taken out as needed? Have we really forgotten who he is, and who we have on our side? As the world continues to look at the pictures placed in view. We, the children of God have a painting the world can’t see. We have an image they can’t imagine and, an outcome they’ll never understand. For many the struggles are the test the father wants us to succeed in. For many what’s going on around us seems to be the problem, but in God’s eye what’s going around us is the process, test, or position he wants us in to take us to the place he wants us to be. Are you ready to go there?
And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee. Psalm 9:10

On any given day there are situations and things that happen that can be joy stealers. How often have you gotten upset about something and no matter how hard you tried you couldn’t get that thing off your mind? Whether it was a problem at work, home, or in traffic life is full of situation that can rob us of our joy. The bible states the devil roams around like a roaring lion seeking whom he can destroy. He good at his job we must be even better at ours. If were not alert and aware of his sneaky tricks and plans we’ll allow one negative event to capture us. That’s what he wants. He wants us to lose our focus.
If he gets his way he’ll work on making us doubt God. Slam the door the satan’s plan.
If this is an area you’re weak in repent and ask the Lord to strengthen you.
1Peter 5:8-9
8 Be sober, be watchful: your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour,
9 whom withstand stedfast in your faith, knowing that the same sufferings are accomplished in your brethren who are in the world.
Job 5:17
Behold, happy is the man whom God corrects;
Therefore do not despise the chastening of the Almighty.
Gal 5:22-23
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
23 meekness, self-control; against such there is no law.

Lord I thank you for granting me another day in this New Year. I thank you for your grace and mercy that watched over me, my loved ones, and friends up until this very hour. I thank you for your unfailing love. I thank you for your presence in my life and for your continued guidance. Lord I ask that you open the eyes of those who don’t know you. Put a desire for you in there hearts. Place the perfect labors in their path. Help me to be a witness to those you put in my path. Father wrap your loving arms around the sick and wounded. You know their needs, desires and ways in which they can be healed if it be your holy will. Lord I’m asking for special prayers for those who are in mourning. I ask that you whisper a word speaking to their hearts and mine in ways only you are able to provide comfort. I ask that you open my eye to the things you’d like me to see and ears to all you’d like me to hear. I ask that you strengthen me in this week realizing I am well able to complete all tasks you may set before me. You are a good God whose grace and mercy endures forever. Lord let me live my life pleasing you. Let me be one of the vessels in which you are pleased to do your work through. Forgive me for the times I have complained about one thing or another. Forgive me for the times I have done something that was not pleasing to you. Let your will be done in my life today and every day. You are the hope and strength of my life. In you I trust and depend. In Jesus name I pray.

If I knew what to say to comfort you on this day, I would have called you a thousand times.
I would have emailed you over and over again
I would shared in your laughter along with your sorrow.
I would have said ‘I miss him too,’ and though it’s snowing outside
I would have ask you if you wanted to go fishing.
Prayer:
On this day father one year after the death of my uncle I ask that you wrap your loving arms around all who continue to morn. Lord I ask that you lead us from one degree of grace and faith to another. Father I ask that you be our comforter in hours of sorrow and strengthen in moments of weakness. Fill us with you allowing our memories of him to be cycles of pleasure that erase the pain. Lord I ask you to strengthen his children and touch them in a mighty way. Only you know what is on their heart and what they need. Lord what ever their needs are you are well able to provide and it is my prayer that you will. Father you said when we call on you you would hear us and you would answer. lord I ask that you touch us as only you can. In Jesus name Amen.

The Christmas rush is in full force. Yet if you listen to the news holiday shopping is at an all time low. I don’t understand how that could be. Every time I try to find parking, whether it’s at the mall or a major store I can’t find a spot that isn’t two miles away. Once entering the store there’s so many people it’s difficult to get to what you want. The streets seem to be congested with traffic all hours of the day and night. Everyone seems to be in that last minute shopping mode and still looking for a great sale and perfect gift.
It makes one wonder…
Imagine if we were in that same frenzy for Christ. If we didn’t allow anything to distract us from the great saving opportunities He provides in his book. Imagine bumper to bumper traffic and car loads of people trying to get to his house of worship. Once getting there parking two miles away and entering to find standing room only. I don’t know about you but I haven’t experience that as of yet, but I imagine it would really please the Father.
