In you Lord do I put my trust. Because of you and the sacrifice you made for me on the cross I know eternal life and victory is mine. Thank you Lord for loving me beyond the deepest of imagination. Thank you Lord for the undeserving gift you’ve graciously provided for and give me. Thank you Lord for being our example and role model. Thank you Lord for the air I breathe, food I eat, clothes I wear, steps I take, and a reasonable portion of health, strength and mental clarity. You Father are so amazing and awesome that words can’t fully express my gratitude for the love you easily provide.
Teach me how to be the person you’d like me to be. Open my eyes to the era of my ways and give me the wisdom to change any portion of me that is not pleasing to you. Let the love of Christ so shine in me that others are drawn to you.
Father let us not just live a life of compassion and giving because of the season but let us live it every day of our lives as you do. Wrap your loving arms around those who are lonely and have no one to spend the holidays with. Put the perfect labors in there path. Lord be the awesome comforter you are to those who are reminded in sorrow of love ones who have left this earth and also be the mender of broken relationships. Thank you Father for all you’ve done and for the things you continue to do in the life of your beloved children. Father I just can’t thank you enough for all you’ve done for me. In Jesus name I pray….Amen

I just want to sit at his feet
Lay my head on his lap
And let him wipe my tears away
Tell Him about all my troubles
Lay my pain in His hands
This month has been hard Lord
Love ones have gone to meet you
And when happiness tries to shine through
the clouds of my sorrow
Shadowed with disappointment and despair appear side by side
I just need to sit at His feet
Clear my mine
Worship in His presence
And pray
Pray without ceasing
Taking no thought for the cares that tempt and tease
The cares that try to lead me astray
He’s my only comfort
Joy
Hope
Strong tower
Present help
Devil devour
I think I’ll just stay here
At His feet
With both arms wrapped tightly around Him
Basking in His Presence, Glory and Power
The cares of this world don’t faze me
Pain and sorrow subsides here
Here at my Fathers feet.

Proverbs 22:6
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
How often have you given your children advice, or told them not to do something because you knew the outcome would not be the positive one they expected?
If you’re like me I’m sure the answer has to be many times. How many times have you said, ‘I’m telling you it’s not going to work.’ Or ‘Listen to me, I know what I’m talking about, I’ve been there.’ Yet, that precious, loving child who respects your wisdom more than anything else, does the exact opposite of what you’ve warned them against.
If we honestly think about when we were that child’s age (depending on the situation) we didn’t accept the wisdom our parents offered either. I believe parenting is the most important responsibility one could have and shouldn’t be taken lightly. In every generation the younger always seems to think the older doesn’t understand. Today children have even greater pressures than we did at there age.
Unfortunately, just as many of us have stumbled and found our way by the grace of God, we must give them the opportunity to grow and find theirs. We have to accept and believe that the wisdom we have implanted in them will set them on the right path.
Proverbs 4:7
Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.
Ephesians 6:1-3 (King James Version)
1] Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.
2]Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise;
3]That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.

Then the woman left her water jar and went away to the town. And she began telling the people. John 4:28
He knows everything I ever did……
The things I never told anyone
The things I’m most ashamed of
The things I thought were well hidden
Everything,
He knows it all
My desires, my hopes, dreams, and heart
And still He offers me keys
Keys to life
Keys to Love
Keys to the Kingdom
Who but God could take my faults and weaknesses and use it for His glory?
Who but God could use my most embarrassing and painful moments as an
Opportunity to witness to someone else
Come, see a Man Who has told me everything that I ever did! Can this be [is not this] the Christ…John 4:29

Lord I thank you for granting me another day in this New Year. I thank you for your grace and mercy that watched over me, my loved ones, and friends up until this very hour. I thank you for your unfailing love. I thank you for your presence in my life and for your continued guidance. Lord I ask that you open the eyes of those who don’t know you. Put a desire for you in there hearts. Place the perfect labors in their path. Help me to be a witness to those you put in my path. Father wrap your loving arms around the sick and wounded. You know their needs, desires and ways in which they can be healed if it be your holy will. Lord I’m asking for special prayers for those who are in mourning. I ask that you whisper a word speaking to their hearts and mine in ways only you are able to provide comfort. I ask that you open my eye to the things you’d like me to see and ears to all you’d like me to hear. I ask that you strengthen me in this week realizing I am well able to complete all tasks you may set before me. You are a good God whose grace and mercy endures forever. Lord let me live my life pleasing you. Let me be one of the vessels in which you are pleased to do your work through. Forgive me for the times I have complained about one thing or another. Forgive me for the times I have done something that was not pleasing to you. Let your will be done in my life today and every day. You are the hope and strength of my life. In you I trust and depend. In Jesus name I pray.

In today’s society many of us work, work, work and rarely take anytime to rest or appreciate what we’ve accomplished in the week. We’re often wrapped up in activities that pertain to our job or someone else but never take a day to appreciate what we’ve accomplished. The only substantial rest we may get is when our heads hit the pillow for a few hours a night. Even the occasional extra day off we might take from our job it’s used to catch up on the things we weren’t able to accomplish during the work week.
The bible states God completed his day of creation on the six day. Though opinions on which day the Sabbath is observed differ the one thing we can say for sure is.… on the seventh day He rest, observing the work he had done, and was pleased. God took one day out of the week to rest and appreciate the fruit of His labor. I challenge you to do the same. I challenge you to observe the Sabbath, take the time to sit back and enjoy the fruit of your labor and bless the name of the Lord.

…All who drink of this water will be thirsty again.
(John 4:13)
For you met me at the well ‘Give me a drink’ you said.
No bucket, no jug, not even your hands in position to catch a drink if poured.
How peculiar
How strange
You ask for a drink from me?
A Samaritan
A sinner
A woman
Then you say this water will cause me to thirst again..
Yet the water you can provide would cure my thirst until eternity?
Go get your husband you say
Husband I have not one, two, three….I will not say
But you know whether or not it’s the truth or a lie I speak?
You whom I’ve just met
A prophet you must be
For you say God is a spirit
who must be worship in spirit and in truth
How do you know these things?
No the Messiah is who you must be
For you say to me
…I who now speak with you am He. (John 4:26)

2009, thank God we made it. Though every day we’re alive and have the functioning of our limbs and clarity of mind is a blessing. There’s something about exiting one year and entering another many of us look forward to. The desire to do better, be better or just be among the living seems to bring great joy. We make resolutions and for the most part the importance is not in the resolution that may or may not be kept, but in the desire. As we think about new beginnings and the opportunity to improve ourselves. The strength of that desire in the beginning is one we can’t deny. Some succeed in their task and other fail but the common dominator of the individuals was the initial decision. It is my prayer that as Christians we surpass that common dominator and unite as holy acceptable vessels under Christ. That the initial decision to live our lives for Him will continuously be strengthened and the desire will never die.

Lord we thank you for yet another day. A day where your goodness, kindness, and continued love is shown. Forgive us for our sins, forgive us for the times we have taken your love and care for us for granted. Than you father for being a gracious and forgiving God. Thank you for your constant protection and provisions. Thank you for Loving us far more than we deserve. Lord I ask that you continue to wrap your loving arms around us and open our eyes to you. Be that comforter to those who are in need of you love and care. Be that provider to those who don’t know how their going to make it. Be that shelter to those who feel uncovered and out of your will. Bring them to your salvation. Put the perfect labors in there path allowing them to minister a word that speaks to your goodness and mercy. Lord I ask that you continue to be with the sick and shut in. Wrap your loving arms around them for you know their sickness and how to care for them. Father help us to walk this week with a greater understanding of you and your purpose for our lives. Help us to be full of your compassion, ever faithful in our giving and continuing to allow your love to flow through us to meet the needs of those you place in our path. In Jesus name I pray Amen.

If I knew what to say to comfort you on this day, I would have called you a thousand times.
I would have emailed you over and over again
I would shared in your laughter along with your sorrow.
I would have said ‘I miss him too,’ and though it’s snowing outside
I would have ask you if you wanted to go fishing.
Prayer:
On this day father one year after the death of my uncle I ask that you wrap your loving arms around all who continue to morn. Lord I ask that you lead us from one degree of grace and faith to another. Father I ask that you be our comforter in hours of sorrow and strengthen in moments of weakness. Fill us with you allowing our memories of him to be cycles of pleasure that erase the pain. Lord I ask you to strengthen his children and touch them in a mighty way. Only you know what is on their heart and what they need. Lord what ever their needs are you are well able to provide and it is my prayer that you will. Father you said when we call on you you would hear us and you would answer. lord I ask that you touch us as only you can. In Jesus name Amen.
