Lord I thank you for granting me another day in this New Year. I thank you for your grace and mercy that watched over me, my loved ones, and friends up until this very hour. I thank you for your unfailing love. I thank you for your presence in my life and for your continued guidance. Lord I ask that you open the eyes of those who don’t know you. Put a desire for you in there hearts. Place the perfect labors in their path. Help me to be a witness to those you put in my path. Father wrap your loving arms around the sick and wounded. You know their needs, desires and ways in which they can be healed if it be your holy will. Lord I’m asking for special prayers for those who are in mourning. I ask that you whisper a word speaking to their hearts and mine in ways only you are able to provide comfort. I ask that you open my eye to the things you’d like me to see and ears to all you’d like me to hear. I ask that you strengthen me in this week realizing I am well able to complete all tasks you may set before me. You are a good God whose grace and mercy endures forever. Lord let me live my life pleasing you. Let me be one of the vessels in which you are pleased to do your work through. Forgive me for the times I have complained about one thing or another. Forgive me for the times I have done something that was not pleasing to you. Let your will be done in my life today and every day. You are the hope and strength of my life. In you I trust and depend. In Jesus name I pray.

Lord we thank you for yet another day. A day where your goodness, kindness, and continued love is shown. Forgive us for our sins, forgive us for the times we have taken your love and care for us for granted. Than you father for being a gracious and forgiving God. Thank you for your constant protection and provisions. Thank you for Loving us far more than we deserve. Lord I ask that you continue to wrap your loving arms around us and open our eyes to you. Be that comforter to those who are in need of you love and care. Be that provider to those who don’t know how their going to make it. Be that shelter to those who feel uncovered and out of your will. Bring them to your salvation. Put the perfect labors in there path allowing them to minister a word that speaks to your goodness and mercy. Lord I ask that you continue to be with the sick and shut in. Wrap your loving arms around them for you know their sickness and how to care for them. Father help us to walk this week with a greater understanding of you and your purpose for our lives. Help us to be full of your compassion, ever faithful in our giving and continuing to allow your love to flow through us to meet the needs of those you place in our path. In Jesus name I pray Amen.

Have you notice a difference in the people you associate with since Thanksgiving? It seems as if this time of year brings out the best in people. I find they tend to smile more, speak more, and are extremely courteous. Christian like qualities seems to be everywhere. Wouldn’t it be nice if the pleasantries and sentiments of caring and compassion could last throughout the year? To live in a world where loving and caring for others was a priority. Imagine living in a world where helping and giving to others was as natural as tying your shoes. Let us take advantage of the time and season we’re in and continue to spread the good news and love of Christ. For us this is not holiday cheer and hopefully the love and compassing we have shown others did not begin on Thanksgiving and will not end on Christmas or New Years Day. Let us use this opportunity to be a light in the lives of all the people we come in contact with. Hopefully our efforts will bring them one step closer to the Kingdom of God.
Beloved, let us love one another for love is (springs) from God; and he who loves (his fellowmen) is begotten (born) of God and is coming (progressively) to know and understand God (to perceive and recognize and get a better and clearer knowledge of Him). 1John 4:7
